Bali Island

Bali is one of more than 13,000 islands of the Indonesian archipelago and is located west of the Lesser Sunda Islands, located between Java to the west and Lombok in the east. He is one of the country's 33 provinces to the province's capital Denpasar south of the island. The island of about 4 million people is about 144 km from east to west and 80 kilometers from north to south.

The islands landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and barren volcanic hills provide a picturesque backdrop and colorful deeply spiritual culture of this "Island of Gods". It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed art, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metals and music.

They have lots of historic temples. Bali is known for its great views and its beautiful beaches and volcanoes. Bali has cool days between April and October and hot days from November to March.

The Hindu New Year, Nyepi, is celebrated in the spring with a day of silence. That day, everyone stays at home and tourists are encouraged to stay in their hotels. On the day before, colorful sculptures ogoh-ogoh monsters are paraded and finally burned in the evening to chase away evil spirits.

The currency in Bali is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR).
